What People Are Saying

She helps me see things through his eyes.

“Anna is a wealth of support and expertise, and someone whose perspective I really value. She understands what my child is going through, and she helps me see things through his eyes. This is something that is so difficult to get from my teen directly. I’m grateful for Anna’s services and the connections I’ve made with other parents.”

T1D Young Adult

Quotation marks. T1D Young Adult Review of one on one health coaching

Hi there! I’m Anna.

I am a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist and have a masters in social work from Washington University in St. Louis. In 2005 I graduated from Syracuse University with a dual bachelor of science degree in psychology in child and family studies. Today I am thrilled to offer private virtual coaching and education for individuals and families with T1D.

Diagnosed in kindergarten, and like many children with T1D, I struggled to feel included, lied about my blood sugars, and often thought about how life would be easier without T1D.

At age 10 my parents nudged me to attend diabetes camp where I began to understand the importance of having a supportive community of peers, mentors, and others who just “get it.”

These early experiences fueled my passion to work in diabetes.

For the past 20 years I have held a variety of leadership positions at several non-profit organizations, camps, and clinics across the US including the American Diabetes Association, T1D Exchange, and the College Diabetes Network. I have created nationally recognized programs for youth and their families, served on multiple national and international committees, spoken at dozens of diabetes conferences worldwide, and contributed to multiple published research articles.

I love cross-training, rescue dogs, traveling, and baking, but most importantly spending time with my husband and 2 littles. I live outside Boston, MA.
